Mr. Stephens is the founder of Warren Capital Corporation (1984) and presently serves as the President and CEO of the firm. Prior to founding Warren Capital, Mr. Stephens held senior executive positions with Wheelabrator Frye, Inc. (a Fortune 500 public company) from 1972 to 1984, including Corporate Vice President and Treasurer as well as President of the finance subsidiary, Wheelabrator Financial Corporation; Vice President Finance of Wheelabrator International, Inc. and President of the Energy Systems division. His last position at Wheelabrator Frye was that of President and CEO of Trailmobile Finance Company, a national commercial finance firm.
From 1969 to 1972, Mr. Stephens was a Corporate Vice President of Genway Corporation, a major transportation leasing company. Mr. Stephens started his business career in the credit and financial analysis division of Chase Manhattan Bank where he advanced to Second Vice President in commercial lending. Mr. Stephens is a graduate of the University Of Notre Dame with a B.A. degree in Economics and holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Stanford University. He is a former Director of Fisher Scientific International, Inc. (2002-2006) (NYSE), (now Thermo Fisher Scientific) and Chairman of Fisher’s Audit Committee; also a Limited Partner of Wood, Warren & Co., an investment banking firm. For two terms, he was Chairman of the Lessors Committee of the United Association of Equipment Lessors (UAEL), and a lecturer and presenter on equipment finance and asset based lending topics. Mr. Stephens is married to Anne, has five sons and resides in Sonoma County, California.
Mr. Levinson is Senior Vice President of Warren Capital Corporation. He is also Managing Director of Sales with responsibility for North Bay business development and core markets of Healthcare and Food Products/Services. He is a past Chairman of the Board of SofTECH, a regional trade association for the software and high technology industries. In 1992 he received a Younger Scholar’s Grant from the National Endowment of the Humanities. He is a graduate of Tufts University with a degree in Economics. Mr. Levinson resides in San Francisco, California.
Mr. Shapiro is Senior Vice President of Warren Capital Corporation. He is responsible for credit/debt placement, underwriting, funding, contract administration and documentation. He also manages relationships with Warren Capital’s lending partners and is responsible for business development in the Surgery and Imaging Center markets. Mr. Shapiro is a graduate of Boston College with degrees in Finance and Information Systems. While in Boston, he worked for FleetBoston Financial, assisting on the banking side during their merger with BankBoston. Mr. Shapiro resides in San Francisco, California.
Mr. Wood is the CEO of Wood, Warren & Co. and also a senior officer of Warren Capital Corporation. He has spent 30 years in investment banking and corporate finance. His experience includes completion of a wide variety of investment banking transactions including public and private equity and debt offerings, merger and acquisition transactions and corporate advisory assignments. Mr. Wood has advised companies ranging from those in the start-up phase to some of the largest domestic based corporations. Prior to investing in Warren Capital Corporation in March, 1991 and forming Wood, Warren & Co., he was a Managing Director of Shearson Lehman Bros., Inc. From 1986 to 1990 he was in charge of the firm’s corporate finance activities in Northern California, the Pacific Northwest, and the Mountain States. From 1978 to 1986 he was a Vice President and Shareholder at Kidder, Peabody & Company in charge of that firm’s corporate finance group in the West Coast area. From 1969 to 1978 Mr. Wood was Vice President of Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. in New York City. Mr. Wood served as an aviation officer in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He is a graduate of the University of Utah and has an MBA from New York University. Mr. Wood resides in Orinda, California.
